Nichts desto trotz ärgern wir uns über die Plagiate unserer Produkte. Dafür gibt es hauptsächlich zwei Gründe. Der erste ist, dass die Figuren handwerklich schlecht gemacht sind. Der zweite, wichtigere Grund ist der, dass die Kopien, was der billige Preis zeigt, im Ausland gefertigt werden.
Unser Anliegen bei diesem Projekt war es zum einen, der Tradition der erzgebirgischen Volkskunst neue Impulse zu geben. Des weiteren wollen wir unbedingt, dass die Produkte für Buynachten in der Region gefertigt werden, aus der sie traditionell stammen. Dieser Ansatz rührt nicht aus nationalistischen Ansätzen, sondern aus einfachen wirtschaftlichen Erwägungen. Je mehr Produkte billig im Ausland produziert werden. Je weniger gut bezahlte Arbeit gibt es bei uns. Eine Kette, die Europa in absehbarer Zeit in ein Ramschland und Armenhaus verwandelt. Dieser Entwicklung stellen wir uns entgegen.

Despite this fact, we are still upset that our products are plagiarized. There are two main reasons for this – the first is that the figures are poorly hand-made. The second, and more important reason, is that the cheaply sold copies are clearly manufactured abroad.
What we want to accomplish with this project is, on one hand, to create new momentum in the tradition of Ore Mountain traditional art. Moreover, we absolutely want these products to be manufactured in the region where they traditionally originate. This approach doesn’t stem from nationalist sentiments but rather from simple economic reasons. The more products cheaply made abroad means that we receive less well-paid work. A chain would quickly transform Europe into an area filled with junk products and create a poorhouse. We are opposed to this development.
